Pastor: Mark Dean

Colony Baptist Church called Mark Dean to be our pastor in August of 1997. Mark’s parents were missionaries to Hong Kong. He received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communications from Mississippi College and his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mark married Marcia May 25, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Dean’s have two children: Sarah and Bryan. Before coming to Colony, Mark was the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ganado, TX from 1987 to 1997. From 1984 to 1987 he was the pastor of Clark Baptist Church in Gonzales, TX. Mark loves God and people and thrives on bringing the two together. His passion is teaching the Word of God, applying it to our lives in a simple, comprehensible way. In 1998, Mark and a team from Colony taught “Experiencing God” to pastors in Brazil. His vision is to see our community become “a colony of the Kingdom of God”. Mark enjoys getting to know people, reading and sports.

Worship Pastor: David Mosher

David has served as the Worship Pastor at Colony since December of 2004. He also currently teaches music K-5th grade at Oyster Creek Elementary School. Prior to being called to Colony, he served as the worship assistant at Vista Del Sol Baptist Church in El Paso for several summers. He was a music student at Howard Payne University studying piano and guitar, where he met his wife, Renee’, also a music graduate. God has instilled in David a passion for music, and he enjoys using those talents for praising the Lord. His desire is to help people understand what true worship is and to grow in Christ together.

Student Pastor: Bill Faulk

From 2001 to 2005 Bill served as a Minister to College and Singles at Sienna Valley Community Church in addition to working as a financial sales representative to Compass Bank. Prior to coming on staff with Sienna, Bill was an Evangelism Team Leader with First Baptist Church of Houston. During that time, he began Glendale International, an apartment complex ministry to refugees from Sudan, Afghanistan, and other countries. Bill also worked as part of a team from FBC, Houston that ministered to run-away teens on the streets of Montrose. Bill's wife Sunshine was a 'Young Life Leader at the Lake Olympia Middle School. Bill has a passion for God and his word and has the ability to minister to all types of tudents. He knows how to have fun but he also knows how to take students deeper in their relationship with the Lord Jesus.
